BCC Ministry Description - Executive Minister
BCC’s Ministry Vision

BCC’s Executive Minister will align ministries with the vision of the church, implement strategies under the Senior Minister, supervise staff members, create and/or improve church systems and communications. This individual ensures operational readiness in strategy, organization, facilities, finance, and human resources.
Vision and Leading
--Supports the ministry vision as led by the Senior Minister by implementing strategies that will accomplish the overall mission in the context of other church leaders (Elders, staff).
--Communicates specific objectives as outlined by the Senior Minister and organizes people and processes to fulfill them.
--Develops leaders in a team environment. Assumes responsibility for organizing the leadership structure and training of leaders in the church’s small group ministry.
--Represents the church’s interests of a business and organizational nature to the Elders, to the congregation, and to the community.
Staff and Supervision
--Assists the Senior Minister (whom this position answers to) in the spiritual, relational and professional development of staff members.
--Manages the day-to-day operations of the staff in accordance with office schedules, the church calendar, business needs, and compliance with the Employee Handbook, staff policies and operating procedures.
--Supervises staff members, monitoring their progress to effectively carry out their jobs and fulfill their current goals.
--Oversees the staff evaluation process and provides status updates to the Senior Minister.
--Identifies staff changes and acquisitions needed to improve the church’s ministry and oversees the search and hiring of personnel.
Ministries and Systems
--Establishes efficient systems and manages processes of the church’s administration, including but not limited to, determining budget priorities, evaluating resources to support the vision, meeting financial objectives, and facilitating with capital expenditures.
--Coordinates the ministries of the church and ensures effective communication between them.
--Offers support, resources, and training to ministry leaders.
--Oversees the church’s facility, building programs (including capital campaigns), assists organizationally in expansion plans (on-campus or in multi-site venues), and manages the human resources involved in those efforts.
The applicant must have a calling to work with ministry leaders. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience as a leader in a church, a ministry, and/or a corporate business environment which involved supervision of employees. An earned degree in a field related to human resources, business, or organizational leadership is preferred; a seminary or undergrad degree in ministry is a plus.
