Pastoral Care & Counseling Minister

Tyler Curtis

Tyler has been involved in ministries located in the Quad Cities since a very young age. Through his formative years he developed great passion for prayer and evangelism. People have described his interaction with others as, “genuinely caring and boldly challenging.” During high school, Tyler recognized his calling for full-time ministry and applied to Moody Bible Institute. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Counseling in May 2012. Two weeks later, he got married to his neighbor and longtime family friend, Sarah.

Tyler interned at BCC with the counseling minister, Dr. R. Harold Pope, in the summer of 2011. Tyler was brought on staff the following year to serve in the area of pastoral care. If you find yourself in the hospital, Tyler will be one of the first to contact you. He also counsels, leads Engage (the young adults group) and organizes prayer nights. While working at BCC, Tyler is a full-time student working towards a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.

You can regularly find Tyler at the Coffee Hound because of his deep and sincere love for coffee, or on one of the QC’s Frisbee golf courses. He is Jack of all trades but master on none and has plans to buy a house that he and his wife can fix up.
