WHAT IS THE LOVE PROJECT?
For seven years Bettendorf Christian church has participated in what we like to call “The Love Project.” The Love Project is an all hands on deck service opportunity, where instead of holding our services inside the walls of our church building, we go outside into the community and serve others. All of these projects are “no strings attached” acts of kindness.
The Love Project offers service opportunities for people of all ages, skills, and physical ability. This year, we’ve organized our Love Projects into three categories; Clean-up, Care, and Collections.
WHY DO WE DO THE LOVE PROJECT?
We use The Love Project as a catalyst to live out our identity as a church (Love God, Love Others) and to do what Jesus commands us to do on behalf of “the least of these brothers of Mine” (Matthew 25:31-46). We believe meeting people’s needs in a tangible way often means leaving our church building to share the love of Jesus with them.
